Hyaluronic acid fillers placed conservatively for natural-looking volume and contour. Always Melissa.

Dermal fillers use hyaluronic acid gels to replace lost volume, soften folds, and refine facial contours, without surgery and with little to no downtime. At Aetheria we work primarily with the Restylane® collection, with the RHA® collection also available, and we match the filler and the dose to your anatomy and goals.

What Are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal fillers use hyaluronic acid based gels to replenish lost volume, soften wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. By attracting moisture and supporting the tissue beneath the skin, they create a refreshed look without surgery.

Hyaluronic acid is a substance your body already produces, which is part of why these fillers integrate naturally and why they can be dissolved if ever needed. Whether you are after subtle lip definition or more pronounced cheek contour, the right product and placement depend on the area and your goals, which we determine together at consultation.

Fillers can do more than add volume. They restore harmony to your features. Our focus is subtle enhancement that looks like you, dosed conservatively.

The Restylane® Collection

Restylane® is the line we reach for most often. It is a family of hyaluronic acid fillers, each engineered for a specific job, from soft lip definition to deep structural lift. The right one depends on the area and the result you are after. Here is how the Restylane® fillers we stock compare.

The RHA® Collection

The RHA® collection (Resilient Hyaluronic Acid) is also available. These fillers are formulated to stretch and recoil with facial movement, so we use them for patients and areas where a dynamic, movement-friendly profile fits best.

What Dermal Fillers Treat

Fillers restore volume and refine contour across the face. Common treatment areas include the following, with the specific product matched to each area.

Lips

Subtle definition, hydration, and soft volume that keeps natural movement.

Cheeks and Midface

Restores fullness lost with age and lifts the midface for a rested look.

Nasolabial Folds

Softens the lines that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth.

Marionette Lines

Eases the lines that run downward from the corners of the mouth.

Chin and Jawline

Adds structure and definition along the lower face and jaw.

Lip Lines

Smooths the fine vertical lines above and around the lips.

Is a Dermal Filler Right For You?

A dermal filler may be a fit if you have noticed volume loss, deepening folds, or thinning lips, and you want a natural-looking refresh rather than a dramatic change. Most patients we treat with filler share several of these characteristics:

  • Notice flattening in the cheeks, deepening nasolabial or marionette lines, or loss of lip volume
  • Want a refreshed, natural-looking result built conservatively
  • Prefer a treatment that is adjustable and, with hyaluronic acid, reversible if needed
  • Are not pregnant or breastfeeding and have no active infection at the treatment site
  • Want a provider who will recommend a different treatment when filler is not the right answer

If you are unsure which filler fits your goals, the consultation is where Melissa determines whether a Restylane® or RHA® product, a biostimulator like Sculptra, or a combination is the right approach.

Why Aetheria for Dermal Fillers

Overfilled, unnatural results usually come from chasing volume too aggressively in a single visit. A conservative, considered approach is not a marketing line. It is the right clinical approach, and it is how every filler treatment is dosed at Aetheria.

Every treatment is performed by Melissa Kolowitz, PA-C. Always Melissa. Same provider, same clinical eye every visit. The plan you agree on at consultation is the one Melissa delivers.

  • Conservative dosing. We add measured volume and build over time rather than overfill on day one.
  • The right product for the area. We match the Restylane® or RHA® filler to the tissue and goal, not a one-product menu.
  • Reassurance of reversibility. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved if an adjustment is ever needed.
  • Honest fit assessment. If Sculptra or a neuromodulator is the better answer, Melissa will tell you.

Your Dermal Filler Visit

From first conversation to follow-up, here is how a filler treatment works at Aetheria.

Consultation

Melissa assesses your facial structure, volume, and goals, then recommends which filler and which areas fit. About 30 minutes, with no pressure to treat the same day.

Your Plan

Together you decide the product and areas. The plan reflects your anatomy and how subtle or pronounced you want the result, building conservatively where it makes sense.

Treatment

Most filler sessions take about 30 to 45 minutes. A numbing step keeps you comfortable, and many products include lidocaine. Mild swelling or bruising for a few days is normal.

Results and Follow-Up

Volume is visible right away, then settles over about two weeks as swelling resolves. We review the result at follow-up and refine if needed.

Common Questions About Dermal Fillers

How long do dermal fillers last?

It depends on the product and the area. Lip filler tends to last around six months to a year, while firmer fillers placed in the cheeks or jawline can last a year or more. Movement, metabolism, and how much product is used all play a role. We track your individual longevity and plan maintenance around it so your results stay consistent over time. Individual results vary.

How do you choose between Restylane and RHA?

Both are excellent hyaluronic acid collections, and the choice comes down to the area and the result. We work primarily with Restylane, matching a specific product to lips, cheeks, folds, or jawline. RHA is available when its stretch-and-recoil profile suits a dynamic area. There is rarely a single right answer, and if you have done well with one collection before, we usually stay with it. Melissa recommends the best fit for your anatomy and goals at consultation.

Will dermal fillers look natural?

That is the entire point of conservative dosing. We add measured volume and can build at a follow-up rather than overfilling on the first visit, which is what tends to cause an unnatural look. Choosing the right product for each area matters just as much as the amount. Our aim is a refreshed result that still looks like you. Individual results vary.

Are dermal fillers reversible and safe?

Hyaluronic acid fillers have a strong safety record when placed by a trained clinician, and one of their advantages is that they can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if an adjustment is ever needed. The most common effects are temporary swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection site. We review your history at consultation to confirm filler is appropriate for you.

What is the difference between fillers and Botox?

They solve different problems and often work together. Dermal fillers add volume and refine contour, restoring fullness to lips, cheeks, and folds. Botox and Xeomin relax the muscles that create movement lines on the forehead and around the eyes. Many patients combine the two for a balanced result. At consultation we map which approach, or which combination of the two, best fits your goals and your anatomy.
