Body · Minimally Invasive Contouring
QuantumRF. From within.
Internal radiofrequency contouring for face and body, planned with Melissa Kolowitz, PA-C.
The Approach
Sharper definition.
Refined, not redone.
QuantumRF is heat from beneath the skin: minimally invasive contouring under local anesthetic, awake and comfortable. We treat one zone at a time, mapped to your goals. First in Pittsburgh with QuantumRF.
Clinical Summary
QuantumRF is minimally invasive radiofrequency contouring delivered from beneath the skin: a thin cannula passes through a small port and delivers RF energy directly into the subcutaneous fat layer, reducing fullness while contracting the skin above as it heals. It is Aetheria's signature treatment for jawline definition, submental fullness, neck laxity, and stubborn body zones, typically completed in a single session under local anesthetic, awake and comfortable; body zones such as the abdomen or flanks sometimes take two. At the Pittsburgh North Hills studio, QuantumRF is performed by Melissa Kolowitz, PA-C. Expect mild swelling for one to three days, with definition emerging over four to twelve weeks as treated fat is metabolized and collagen rebuilds. Whether QuantumRF alone or paired with Morpheus8® fits your anatomy is assessed at a 45-minute consultation. Individual results vary.

The Science
Energy from the inside.
A small port. A thin cannula. Controlled radiofrequency applied directly into the fat layer, heat that contracts skin and reduces stubborn fat over weeks. Minimally invasive, under local anesthetic, no suction.
Jawline & chin.
A precise port behind the ear or under the chin. The cannula glides into the small subcutaneous pocket along the mandible. Energy melts the soft, stubborn fat that softens a jawline, and contracts the skin above it as it heals.
The most-requested QuantumRF treatment. One session for most patients. Definition typically emerges over four to twelve weeks.
Neck & décolleté.
Tighten loose skin and reduce fullness across the front of the neck. The cannula passes through one or two small ports under the chin to treat the broader submental and platysmal area.
Best for patients with mild-to-moderate skin laxity who want a sharper neckline from a minimally invasive treatment. One or two sessions, eight weeks apart.
Body. Abdomen, flanks, thighs.
Larger treatment zones, longer cannula passes, more energy delivered. Targets the stubborn pockets diet and exercise can't reach, and tightens the loose skin that often comes with them.
Pairs especially well with Morpheus8 Burst Deep for comprehensive contouring. One to two sessions per zone.

A note from Melissa
QuantumRF is architecture. Not a fat-loss tool.
QuantumRF is for the patient who's already done the work and wants sharper jawline definition, a tighter neck, or smoother contour where diet and exercise have plateaued.
Conservative energy. One area at a time. Sharper, not different.
If QuantumRF isn't the right tool, I'll tell you. Sometimes weight loss, a different tool, or patience is the better answer.
The Day
What it actually feels like.
You arrive.
Welcomed to a comfortable, quiet space.
Day-of consultation.
Fifteen minutes, just us. We review the plan and confirm the treatment area.
Anesthesia.
Local anesthetic in the treatment zone, like a dental visit. You stay awake. The room is quiet, the lights low.
Treatment.
A small port, then the cannula. Thirty to sixty minutes depending on the area. Most patients feel pressure and warmth, not pain.
You leave.
A small bandage. Mild swelling for a day or two. Most patients return to non-strenuous activity the next day.
Results are typically visible.
Skin often appears tighter, the angle of the jaw or neck a little sharper.
Your contour typically emerges.
Treated fat is metabolized. Collagen has rebuilt. The new contour tends to hold.
Candidacy
Who this is for.
You're probably a great candidate if:
You're close to your ideal weight. There's a stubborn pocket (under the chin, along the jaw, around the flanks) that diet and exercise haven't reached. You want sharper definition from a minimally invasive treatment. You can commit one afternoon and a few weeks of patience while your body does the rest.
Let's talk first if:
You're pregnant or breastfeeding (we'll wait). You have a pacemaker or implanted electronic device. You're looking for weight loss. QuantumRF is contouring, not a substitute for healthy body composition. If the weight has already come down, on a GLP-1 or otherwise, and a pocket stayed behind, that is a different conversation and one QuantumRF is designed for. You want a sweeping, dramatic result. We keep results subtle.
"If this isn't the right tool, we'll say so."
Questions we actually get
Straight answers.
What patients want to know before booking.
Is QuantumRF surgery?
No. QuantumRF is minimally invasive: a small port in the skin, a thin cannula in the fat layer beneath it, and controlled radiofrequency heat, under local anesthetic while you're awake. There's no general anesthesia and no suction. More happens than with a treatment that works through the surface of the skin, which is why it's planned as a procedure: expect mild swelling for 24 to 72 hours, possibly a compression garment for body zones, and light activity within a few days. Individual results vary.
How is QuantumRF different from external skin-tightening and body treatments?
QuantumRF is internal radiofrequency. A small port, a thin cannula, controlled heat applied directly into the fat layer beneath the skin. That precision allows the energy to be focused on a specific area, and skin laxity can be considered within the same treatment plan. External treatments work through the skin and disperse energy across the surface; internal placement concentrates it where it's needed. Candidacy and the right approach for your concerns are determined at consultation.
Will it hurt?
Most patients feel pressure and warmth, not pain. Local anesthetic is administered in the treatment area before energy is applied, similar to a dental visit. Most patients report the procedure is comfortable once the numbing has taken effect. We stop and adjust if anything's too much. After treatment, mild soreness in the treated zone is common for 24 to 72 hours and typically resolves without intervention.
Will I look overdone or unnatural?
No. QuantumRF doesn't add anything. The mechanism works on your existing tissue rather than introducing volume. The result typically emerges gradually over weeks as the body responds, which is part of why patients often describe it as natural rather than abrupt. Individual results vary.
How fast will I see results?
Skin tightness is often noticeable within days as the dermis contracts from the heat. Fat reduction emerges more gradually, typically over four to twelve weeks, as your body metabolizes the treated cells through the lymphatic system. Most patients see the final contour develop around week twelve, with continued subtle refinement through month four as collagen continues rebuilding. Individual results vary.
What's the recovery like?
Recovery from QuantumRF is more involved than from external skin treatments, and still short. Most patients take it easy for 24 to 72 hours, and post-treatment guidance may include a compression garment worn for a period determined at consultation. Light activity often resumes within a few days; more vigorous exercise is typically deferred for one to two weeks. Bruising and swelling in the treated area are common and gradually subside over the weeks that follow. Specific recovery guidance is based on your treatment plan. Individual results vary.
What does it cost?
QuantumRF starts at $1,900. Pricing varies by the number of sessions and the area. Your plan is quoted in the consult. If you want Affirm, that's in the Aetheria app.
How long does swelling last under the chin after QuantumRF?
Some swelling under the chin is expected, because QuantumRF works in the fat layer beneath the skin. Most patients notice mild swelling and tenderness for the first 24 to 72 hours, and recovery varies from person to person. Lighter swelling or bruising can linger and gradually subside over the weeks that follow, and that's part of normal healing, not the final contour, which typically emerges over four to twelve weeks. Melissa goes over your aftercare, including any compression guidance, before you leave. If swelling is increasing instead of settling, call the studio. Individual results vary.
